About the Series

Instructor - Lalitha

Lalitha is one of the AVA's Kaimani Level 1 instructors, and also teaches tabla in person at MA Center, San Ramon. This is a series of four recorded Kaimani "follow-alongs".

It's okay if you haven't started playing yet—this series is a great way to get started!

Each session includes a grounding, guided meditation of playing specific rhythm patterns in a calm, focused way. While you are playing the kaimani, a melody is streamed to you as accompaniment. This is followed by discussion on various aspects of playing and an open forum of questions and answers.

• This is a live workshop. Please join the live session as possible. Otherwise, you can watch the replay at your convenience.
